Project Overview

We transformed a structurally unstable building — once nicknamed the “Leaning Tower of Pisa” — into a safe and attractive six-flat development. The scheme involved reinforcing the existing structure, adding new floors and creating landscaped surroundings. Our team delivered a dramatic turnaround from dereliction to fully let homes.

The Challenge

  • Building was slanted and structurally unsound
  • Needed to add two new floors while ensuring stability
  • Complex sequencing of reinforcement and extension works

Our Approach

  • Pre-Construction: Conducted structural surveys; designed reinforcement strategy; secured all approvals.
  • Construction: Carried out major structural stabilization; extended and built two extra floors; delivered comprehensive landscaping.
  • Post-Construction: Coordinated inspections; prepared for HMO conversion; provided client handover.

Results & Impact

  • Created 6 new flats from an unstable structure
  • Delivered a safe, modern building suitable for HMO use
  • Complete site transformation including external landscaping
